Rewilded print

"Rewilded" means to return to a more natural, untamed state. Originally the word comes from environmental science when land that was developed by humans is allowed to grow wild again. To me, the name of this painting symbolizes coming back to my natural, authentic self after a lifetime of trying to meet societal expectations. This piece represents letting go of overthinking, trusting myself and my creative instincts, and feeling free again for the first time since I was a small child.
