About the Artist
Megan began her artistic journey in the Pacific Northwest, where the region’s lush landscapes and natural beauty deeply influenced her creative foundation. While pursuing her degree in Studio Art at Western Washington University, she developed a fascination with organic forms and earthy textures found in the forests and mountains of the area.
Now based in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Megan creates expressive abstract works that blend her early connection to nature with an intuitive and playful process. After years of striving for realism, a process that fueled perfectionism and creative stress, she shifted to abstraction as a way to reconnect with her inner child and embrace the freedom of spontaneity.
For Megan, each piece is a journey into the unknown—a space where imagination, vulnerability, and emotional truth collide. Through her art, she invites viewers to embrace the beauty of imperfection, the magic of play, and the power of creativity as a tool for healing and self-discovery.
